Elias Gauthier
Computer science student · Cybersecurity & open source
I’m currently studying computer science at the IUT in Bordeaux, France, with a particular interest in cybersecurity and more specifically cyberdefense. I would like to go on to complete an engineering degree and pursue a career in national defense and cybersecurity. In the meantime, I am interested in many areas of computer science and enjoy learning new languages. I am paying close attention to the emergence of quantum computing and the related cryptographic challenges.
I also appreciate the world of open source. For example, I have contributed to the OCaml language library repository. I am also a member of the FSF.

Quantum Computing library
OCaml library published on opam for simulating n-qubit registers, quantum gates, and Bloch sphere visualisation.
Career timeline
Overhaul of data processing workflows ensuring interoperability between the information system and the pedagogical platform.
- Deployment of an SSO solution for magistrates, integrating applications within the IS in a sensitive institutional environment
- In-depth refactoring of a legacy PHP codebase: identification and remediation of design flaws and security weaknesses, optimisation of data processing
Curriculum covering software engineering, databases, web development, cybersecurity, system administration, artificial intelligence, and applied mathematics.
- Development of a Python solution to automate the collection and processing of energy data from industrial PLCs, feeding KPI dashboards used to drive the site's energy performance
- Design and rollout of a large-scale antivirus scanning campaign across the industrial estate via secure USB drives, contributing to the security upkeep of OT equipment
